Policies

AAA discount: A-1 Limousine does offer an AAA discount of 10% off one round trip yearly.

 

Adverse weather or road conditions may be subject to additional charges.

 

Applicable Fees and Taxes: are additional charges that apply to a reservation such as: tolls, parking, fuel surcharge, sales tax, green fees, etc.

 

CANCELLATIONS GUIDELINES: Call NATIONWIDE 1-800-367-0070

Full fare rates plus gratuity and all applicable fees and taxes will be charged unless vehicle is cancelled within the guidelines listed below.

 

Vehicle Types:

SEDAN = Cancellations are not charged if notification is made in excess of 130 minutes before the pickup. On trips where the pickup is more than one and a half hours from the service office, the cancelation must be made 30 minutes before required dispatch time. Not giving required notice may result in cancellation charges up to the full rate for the trip.

LIMOUSINE = 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time

VAN = 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time

LIMOVAN = 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time

BUS = 48 hours prior to pick up date and time, plus any prepaid permits or entrance fees

 

Credit Card Charge Back Fees: will be assessed an administration fee of $5.00 or 5% whichever is greater per transaction.

 

Changes in Credit Card Billing: 25 or more days past trip date will be assessed an administration fee of $5.00 or 5% whichever is greater per transaction plus any charges assessed from the bank .

 

Child/Baby Seat/Booster Seat(s): Available upon request

 

Damages to Vehicles/Cleaning Fee:   incurred by the Renter and/or party of the Renter – including but not limited to Alcohol spillage/food /trash ($200.00) broken glasses and/or replacement ($50.00) upholstery rips or replacement ($550.00-$2000.00) Vomit ($200.00 fee) or any interior or exterior damage caused by the Renter or party of the Renter.

 

Debit Visa/MasterCard Bank Cards (Pre-Authorization): A-1 Limousine does Pre-Authorize all Credit/Debit card for 125% of the estimated charges. If you do not wish to use your Debit Card as final payment, it is strongly advised not to use a Debit Card when reserving your ground transportation arrangements. Please refer to Credit Card Charge Back Fees if your Debit Card has been charged and you want to use another payment type.

Pre-Authorizations hold funds and are in effect for approximately 72 hours (3 business days) depending on your individual bank.

 

Discounts/Adjustments: A customer is able to receive ONE Discount/Adjustment per trip. The use of multiple Discount/Adjustments is prohibited.

 

Early Morning Fee: A-1 Limousine does not charge an Early Morning Fee.

 

Extra Stop Charges: vary on location and deviation from most efficient route from Pick-Up to Drop-Off location.

 

Fuel Surcharge Rate: fuel surcharge will be based upon the per gallon gasoline price published by the department of energy U.S. midgrade reformulated retail gasoline (www.eiadoe.gov) for the central Atlantic region utilizing

 

Fuel Surcharge Percentage:  will be updated on the 1st of every month and be calculated on the base fare plus any additional stops.

 

Gift Cards: are available in any denomination, customization is available.

 

Gratuity: will be calculated on the base fare, extra stop(s) and wait time at a rate of 18% unless otherwise specified.

New Years Day

Presidents Day

Easter Day

Lost or Damaged Items: A-1 Limousine and its Affiliates For People Going Places Network are not responsible for items that are left in the vehicle, lost or damaged. A-1 Limousine and For People Going Places Network reserves the right to charge a delivery/ shipping and handling fee for returning lost items if found.

 

Late Night Fee: A-1 Limousine does not charge a Late Night Fee.

 

Luggage Cart:   Any luggage cart fee incurred will be passed thru to the billable parties and added to a customers invoice.

 

New Jersey State Sales Tax:  This tax is assessed by the State of New Jersey and is calculated on all charges except gratuity.

 

No Show Charges/Cancel on Arrivals:

Failure to cancel a trip in accordance with the Cancellations Guidelines will be subject to a full fare charge, wait time, gratuity plus all Applicable Fees and Taxes.

 

Proms/School Dances: are booked with predetermined guidelines and are priced on a Princeton, NJ garage to garage basis, additional time is billed in 30 minute increments plus all Applicable Fees and Taxes.

 

Parking: Any parking fee incurred will be passed thru to the billable parties and added to a customers invoice.

 

Payment Types: A-1 Limousine accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Credit Cards. We will accept Personal checks with matching identification and a Credit Card guarantee.

 

Rates: Rates are subject to change without notice.

 

Red Carpet: is available upon request.

 

Travel time to Airports: A1 Limousine and its For People Going Places Affiliate Network will suggest an approiate pick up time for the departure flight listed, if a passenger/booker requests their own pick up time, A-1 Limousine and its For People Going Places Affiliate Network can not be held responsible if the passenger misses their flight due to traffic delays, additional stops or wait time at the customer's request.

Disclaimer: A-1 Limousine and For People Going Places Network and can not be held responsible for any delays as a result of traffic, emergency road closure's, adverse weather conditions that are beyond our control.

 

Tolls:    Any tolls incurred by A-1 Limousine or its For People Going Places Affiliate Network in order to complete a garage to garage round trip via the most efficient route will be passed thru to the billable parties and added to a customers invoice.

 

Wait and Return's: are booked with predetermined minimum hours and are priced on a Princeton, NJ garage to garage basis, additional time is billed in 30 minute increments plus Gratuity, Applicable Fees and Taxes.

 

Wait time:

Airport: After 45 minute courtesy grace period from the last updated flight arrival time, wait time will be billed in 30 minute increments and thereafter.

Cruise Ships: After a 45 minutes grace period, wait time will be billed in 15 minute increments.

***if your trip is 5 days or more please allow 2 – 2 ½ hours after the ship has docked for your Pick-Up Time.

***if your trip was less then 5 days please allow 1 –1 ½ hours after the ship has docked for your Pick-Up Time off.

Home, Office, Restaurant, Venue, Casino, etc: After a 20 minute grace period wait time will be billed in 30 minutes increments.

Train Station: After 45 minute courtesy grace period from the last updated arrival time, wait time will be billed in 30 minute increments and thereafter.

A-1 Limousine is ‘Green’

Carbon Use / Offset / Ride Silver™ Program / Your Participation

A-1 Limousine has partnered with CarbonFund.org to create and establish an industry leading carbon use / offset program for our entire fleet to attain a true carbon neutral position.  Your trip will be assessed a nominal fee to be included in our company wide contribution to help insure a carbon free world for future generations.

A-1 Limousine has an “on-growing” green initiative program. Currently we support green initiatives in many ways including recycling of consumable products, utilization of efficient fuels and synthetic oils, energy efficient lighting and electrical products, share rides for customers, and larger vehicles that accommodate 4 to 56 people to reduce fuel, improve carbon use / offsets, reduce use of paper and resources and an industry leading ‘Ride Silver™ Program’.

From January 2009 thru December 2010

A-1 Limousine has purchased 334,627 tons of Carbon offsets that have been used for Forest Reforestation.

Our Commitment to the environment includes:

Recycling
A-1 Limousine recycled 11 tons of cardboard and 7 tons of newspaper
A-1 Limousine recycles all glass and aluminum products
A-1 Limousine recycles all print and toner cartridges
A-1 Limousine recycles all tires used for all fleet vehicles
A-1 Limousine recycles and utilizes used motor oil for heat with over 2,500 gallons utilized in this manner last winter
A-1 Limousine recycles all car batteries
A-1 Limousine utilizes high efficiency low water volume car and bus wash machines to clean our vehicles

Utilization of Efficient Fuels and Synthetic Oils
A-1 has modified our oil usage and now uses synthetic oils for lubrication in our fleet
A-1 Limousine uses environmentally friendly antifreeze, oil and air filters
A-1 Limousine utilizes a mid-grade gasoline to increase fuel efficiency and burn rate
A-1 Limousine utilizes ultra low sulfur diesel fuel for all diesel engines
A-1 Limousine uses carbon friendly catalyst and exhaust systems on all medium and heavy duty diesel engines to reduce our carbon output
All A-1 Limousine vehicles under go regular inspections and maintenance program by our in-house, factory trained and ASE certified mechanics to insure optimal performance / efficiency

Energy Efficient Lighting and Electrical Products
A-1 Limousine utilizes energy efficient florescent lighting in all of our offices and work spaces

A-1 Limousine offers share rides for corporate entities to reduce vehicular traffic and carbon use / offsets from our vehicles

Does A-1 Limousine have a Fuel Surcharge?

In order to avoid changing prices frequently A-1 Limousine has instituted a Fuel Surcharge to allow for the changing prices. Currently we are adjusting our Fuel Surcharge on a periodic basis according to the average price paid for fuel usually monthly. Sometimes we adjust more or less frequently when it is warranted.

Where do I meet my chauffeur at the Airport? Chauffeurs will have a sign with your last name on it and meet you:

For Domestic arrivals your chauffeur will meet you at the Baggage Claim Level or designated Meeting Area if the airport has one.

For International Flights your chauffeur will meet you at the Customs Exit or designated Meeting Area if the airport has one.

Curbside pickup is usually NOT permitted by the airports for security reasons.

If you arrive and do not see your chauffeur please call 1-800-367-0070 to contact our Dispatch Office 24 hours a day. This will avoid a charge for a No-Show please note where you are when you call (i.e. Baggage Carousel 2) this will help direct your chauffeur.

Do I have to call you if my flight is late? No reason to call if you are on the same flight, our dispatch office monitors arrivals. However, you must call if your flight gets canceled to give our dispatcher the new flight or if you miss your flight.

Why was I charged Waiting Time?

Waiting time is charged after a grace period which varies based on trip type and pickup point. Please see 'Wait Time' section on the 'Policies' page.

Do you have online reservations? Yes we do, please click on the 'Reservations' link to register. Please Note - online registrations are only available for credit card customers. Account customers must contact their salesman to setup for online reservations.

Do you offer any discounts? Yes we do. We offer a variety of discounts from newspaper coupons, local discounts, AAA Discounts and Corporate Discounts. Most must be provided when the reservation is made and/or they must be associated with an account and paid promptly to qualify. Please check with your salesman or association for Discount/Coupon Codes.

How can I get a copy of my receipt? You can get a receipt automatically by signing up with a valid email address. You can also call our accounting department to email/fax/mail you a copy of your receipt.
